A pale green leaf produced by the raspberry plant, raspberry leaf is known to have many health benefits due to its high content of vitamins, minerals and tannins, particularly for expecting women. It is suggested starting at week 32 to drink raspberry leaf as it is an excellent uterine toner and to continue to do so after delivery. However, everyone can benefit from the anti-inflammatory and soothing properties of raspberry tea. The vitamins and minerals are supportive of a healthy immune system, promote improved circulation and contain an easily assimilated form of calcium. The tannins aid in providing an effective treatment for intestinal inflammation, especially in children. Raspberry leaf can also be used as a mouth wash to soothe mouth and throat irritations.
