Sencha is the most popular and well known tea in Japan plucked in late spring and lightly steamed. An everyday tea with a sweet, smooth, milder profile high in antioxidants and delicious served hot or iced.
Steeping Instructions: Use 1tsp of tea per 6oz cup. Steep for 1-2 minutes in water that has not reached boiling point, 80 C.
For optimal enjoyment of green tea, it is important to steep for the recommended time and to not use boiling water, as it may result in your tea tasting bitter. Infuse multiple times.
